The Eagle Nebula

SKU N/A Category

The Eagle Nebula , Messier 16 is a young open cluster of stars in the constellation of Serpens. Sitting at 5,700 light years from Earth this nebula at its centre contains the famous “Pillars of Creation”, which have been imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope. The Eagle Nebula is a Summer target from my location presenting itself in the early hours towards the South. This image processed to display the Hubble Palette almost looks like the great eagle is guarding the pillars of Creation with its massive wings.
