Caldwell 50. Into the eye of the skull! This open cluster of stars is situated at the heart of the Rosette Nebula in the constellation of Monoceros. This cluster has O type, super-hot stars which generate large amounts of radiation and stellar wind which ultimately shapes the overall nebula.
